Do you have to butter chocolate molds, and can you mold chocolate in an ice cube tray?
I started trying to mold chocolates and i have some Questions.
No you don’t have to butter the molds. Just make sure you temper the chocolate correctly or else it won’t dry properly and will discolor, crumble and stick to the mold. If you need help with tempering, just google “Chocolate Tempering”.
Also keep in mind that most of the candy melts shown are not chocolate. Real chocolate will not contain Vegetable Oil which is used in most candy melts. This is why some of those melts taste different.
You can mold chocolate into any shape you want. Yes you can use an ice cube tray, there are even some silicone ice cube trays in cute shapes.
